Watch Obamacare Critic Tom Price's Senate Confirmation Hearing for HHS Secretary

Trump's pick for secretary of health and human services will field questions from the Senate Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions Committee at 10 AM EST.

In his first of two hearings, Georgia representative Tom Price, Donald Trump's pick to lead the Department of Health and Human Services, will go before the Senate Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions Committee on Wednesday at 10 AM.

Price, a fierce Obamacare critic and advocate for restructuring Medicare and Medicaid, will likely face many questions regarding the GOP's plan to overhaul the Affordable Care Act and how much the repeal will cost. Price has also opposed LGBTQ legislation, doesn't believe birth control should be free, and has supported anti-abortion bills.

The orthopedic surgeon will also likely be asked to address a Wall Street Journal report that found he had traded certain medical companies' stocks while he was advocating for legislation that could affect their value. A separate CNN report found that Price invested in a medical device company, then tried to block regulations in Congress that could harm it.

Price is one of the Cabinet appointees that Democrats have considered blocking, and will need the entire Senate's approval to get the job. Watch the video of his hearing below.
