Whoever told Giuliani Melania "believes" Trump about Stormy, it wasn't Melania

The notoriously private first lady is speaking up — about not speaking to Rudy Giuliani.

A day after Rudy Giuliani insisted that Melania Trump believes her husband about Stormy Daniels, the first lady’s spokeswoman said that Melania has never in her life shared her thoughts on anything with Giuliani.

“I don't believe Mrs. Trump has ever discussed her thoughts on anything with Mr. Giuliani,” Stephanie Grisham, Melania’s communications director, told the New York Times’ Maggie Haberman. Haberman had asked Grisham about Giuliani’s Melania comments.

Speaking to an audience in Israel on Wednesday, Giuliani, who represents the president as an attorney, said that Melania “believes her husband” that allegations about an affair with porn star Stormy Daniels are “untrue.”

Rumors have swirled about Melania Trump for weeks since she disappeared from the public eye and underwent a kidney procedure. The first lady made her first public appearance in a month Wednesday. Melania sat by her husband’s side at a FEMA public appearance. Donald insisted that she was “doing great,” but Melania herself did not speak.

Giuliani, on the other hand, isn’t shy about talking. He has, on more than occasion, contradicted Donald Trump’s past assertions, such as on Wednesday when Giuliani said that Trump made a “mistake” when he dictated a statement to Donald Trump Jr. about his controversial meeting with Russian. Trump previously said that he didn’t dictate the statement. Trump has even publicly undermined Giuliani after the former New York City mayor tried to speak about the president’s relationship with Stormy Daniels.
