VICE News went to Liberia to spend time with those on the front lines of the fight against the Ebola outbreak

As the Ebola outbreak continues to spread in West Africa, Liberia has been hit harder than any other country in the region. With over 3400 people believed to be infected and over 1800 deaths nationwide, Liberia's government, healthcare workers, and international aid organizations are desperately trying to contain the deadly virus.

Though the capital city of Monrovia continues to function, Liberia's worn-down and ineffective infrastructure is proving to be insufficient in stopping the spread of the disease. Those trying to stop it are taking desperate measures as the international community dithers with lackluster efforts to help. VICE News went to Liberia to spend time with those on the front lines of the fight against the disease.
