On June 26, April DeBoer and Jayne Rowse gave a press conference following the Supreme Court's ruling in favor of same-sex marriage at the Jim Toy Community Center in Ann Arbor, Michigan. DeBoer and Rowse challenged the state's ban on gay marriage in order to adopt one another's children.
