A gunman opened fire at a courthouse in southwest Michigan on Monday afternoon, killing two bailiffs and wounding a sheriff's deputy. The deputy's injuries are believed to be non-life threatening, and the gunman was killed by police."The suspect has been shot and killed," Berrien County Sheriff L. Paul Bailey said at a brief news conference. "We'll be having more information later… We don't have all the details about what happened or how he got the weapon."The incident began at around 2:30pm local time on the third floor of the Berrien County Courthouse in St. Joseph, Michigan. The city is located on the shores of Lake Michigan, about 35 miles north of the state's border with Indiana.Michigan Governor Rick Snyder said on Twitter that state police "secured the scene" at the courthouse, and that police have "started its investigation into the shooting."
