A grand jury decided Wednesday not to indict NYPD officer Daniel Pantaleo for the death of Eric Garner. Pantaleo put Garner in a chokehold during an arrest in Staten Island on July 17. Protesters put out a call to converge on the Rockefeller Center Christmas tree lighting event to broadcast to the nation that deaths like Garner's are unacceptable.
