Russell Westbrook Fined $25,000 For Hollering "Fuck You" at a Mavericks' Fan

Considering it's 0.15 percent of his annual salary, maybe it's worth it.

How much are potty words worth to you? The NBA playoffs are heated to begin with and away games can get nuts. Heck, even your own fans can get in your way. So they need to be put in their place from time to time, right? Well, the NBA doesn't think so. In fact, they think potty words can warrant up to $25,000 in fines. Lordy me.

Last night's Eastern Conference Game Four matchup between the Dallas Mavericks and the Oklahoma City Thunder got heated as fuck—to the point that fans were saying shit to Russell Westbrook, and Russell Westbrook was saying shit to fans. Notably, the read-my-lips-clear-as-day utterance of "Fuck you," and maybe a couple other worse things afterward broadcast on live television.

Let's just check that out on loop:

Oooh that's nasty. Well, considering it was worth 0.15 percent of Westbrook's annual salary, maybe that's worth it. Swear on, friend. Swear on.
