We Made an Air Bed Cinema for a Special International Women's Day Screening of WOMAN

Check out these snuggly photos from our VICELAND event in Auckland.

For International Women's Day, VICELAND joined up with the Women's Collective for a WOMAN slumber party at Auckland's Pullman Hotel.

We packed ninety air mattresses, complete with slippers and pillow-chocolates, into the Princes Ballroom for an evening celebrating all it is to be a woman.

Guests watched three episodes of Gloria Steinem's Emmy-nominated series. Our speakers Alison Cole, an international human rights law expert, and Ghazaleh Gol, a filmmaker, discussed the obstacles women are facing globally, and the increasing importance of fighting apathy.

This event was supported by Pullman Auckland, Rose Tinted Flowers, NZ Rose Co, Little Boy Bloom, NZ Kettle Corn and Bluebells Cakery.

The air mattresses from the event were donated to Auckland City Mission, to be sold through the New Beginnings op-shops, with proceeds helping to fund the Mission's vital social services.
