Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer and House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi announced Wednesday they have forged a deal with President Trump to protect almost 800,000 undocumented immigrants covered by the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program. Earlier this month, Trump ordered that DACA end in six months, and demanded that Congress come up with a solution; many of the president's allies on the anti-immigration right praised that move. The Democrats said they had "agreed to enshrine the protections of DACA into law quickly, and to work out a package of border security, excluding the wall."
