Warp Records Officially Announces Aphex Twin's New Album 'Syro'

It's being released on September 22nd. No we cannot wait.

The long awaited return of Aphex Twin has been the talk of the town this week. Over the weekend and into Monday, cities across the world were hit by mysterious street tagging, blimp flyovers and a serious of clues scattered across the deep web, unearthing the name and supposed tracklist of the new LP. Earlier this week, fans were shaken up once again when an unconfirmed leaked copy of the album began invading hard drives across the world.

Well now we can all rest a bit easier as the label behind Aphex's new jawn, Warp Records, has finally given us a release date (September 22/23rd), confirmed tracklist, and what is easily the strangest, most confusing press release in the history of the music industry. In true Aphex fashion, none of this shit really makes much sense—but that all adds to part of the genius right? We even get a gander at some of the album's artwork which appears to be a cheeky polk at the costs of album advertising. Apparently Aphex and Warp will even be pluggin' Syro in the pages of our very own VICE Magazine. Pretty cool eh? All we know is we can't wait for this thing to drop, and have already pre-ordered that triply vinyl to our THUMP desk.
