Doug Ford is premier. Here are some of his fans.

Ford clinched 40% of the popular vote in the Ontario election.

Progressive Conservative Leader Doug Ford swept to power in Ontario in dramatic fashion Thursday night, securing victory minutes after the polls closed.

Although the race between the PCs and the NDP had appeared to be too close to call for much of the campaign, Ford captured 76 seats, well over the majority mark. The official opposition, the NDP, grabbed 40, while the Liberals were reduced to just seven, and the Greens secured their first seat, ever.

For many, it was personality, rather than policy, that drove Ford's popularity. We went to one campaign rally, in Hamilton, Ontario, and met some of his supporters.
