Laura Ingraham returns from vacation to another company pulling its ad

Laura Ingraham may have thought she’d come back from her one-week vacation to a warmer New York and a subdued controversy over her Twitter spat with Parkland shooting survivor David Hogg.

Instead, the boycott of her Fox News show, "The Ingraham Angle," by advertisers is only growing larger.

Allstate Insurance quietly pulled its advertising on the Fox News show, theWrap reported Monday, making it the 20th advertiser to drop its commercials from the program.

“Laura Ingraham’s comments about David Hogg were inconsistent with our values,” the company wrote in an internal memo to employees. “Allstate believes in youth empowerment and last year helped 5 million youth find their voices and take action to make the world better. We have not advertised on ‘The Ingraham Angle’ since Wednesday. We hope our youth can help us find a path to a less divisive future.”

The boycott equates to about 50 percent of her total ad time, according to Kantar Media. Last week, Ace Hardware also quietly pulled its ads from the show, joining the growing group of companies that includes Hulu, Johnson & Johnson, and Nestlé.

After Ingraham tweeted “David Hogg Rejected By Four Colleges To Which He Applied and whines about it. (Dinged by UCLA with a 4.1 GPA…totally predictable given acceptance rates.),” Hogg tweeted out a list of 12 companies that advertised on her show. Just four companies remain on that list who have not yet publicly released statements about pulling out.

However, several conservative talk show hosts and public figures have offered public support for Ingraham. Of the public figures, Bill Maher defended the anchor’s right to “argue back” to Parkland shooting survivors who have become public “champions” of gun reform, while also calling her a “deliberately terrible person.”

Fox has stood by Ingraham so far.

"We cannot and will not allow voices to be censored by agenda-driven intimidation efforts," Fox News Co-President Jack Abernethy said in a statement last week. "We look forward to having Laura Ingraham back hosting her program next Monday when she returns from spring vacation with her children."

And though Ingraham tweeted about Hogg whining about not getting into college, it turns out that Hogg has been accepted to at least one: UC Irvine.
