Authorities say a California surgeon, known for appearing a Bravo reality TV dating series, raped at least two women — making this the third credible rape allegation lodged against a Bravo star this year.The number of victims may actually be higher — according to charging document, police observed thousands of potentially incriminating photos and videos on phones belonging to Grant Robicheaux and his girlfriend, Cerissa Riley, that depicted women in situations that made consent impossible.Robicheaux, a 38-year-old orthopedic surgeon who appeared on Bravo’s “Online Dating Rituals of the American Male,” and Riley, 31, both paid $100,000 in bail after their arrests last week and are waiting for arraignment in court on Oct. 25, according to reports. Both were charged with rape by use of drugs, oral copulation by anesthesia or controlled substance, assault with intent to commit sexual offense, and four counts of possession of a controlled substance for sale. Robicheaux faces up to 40 years in prison while Riley faces almost 31.During a press conference announcing the charges, authorities noted that their victims may have been lulled into a sense of safety because both Robicheaux and Riley were young, wealthy, and attractive — traits which were reaffirmed by Robicheaux's turn on the canceled Bravo series.Bravo declined a VICE News request for comment.But it's at least the third instance of a Bravo reality TV personality being publicly accused of sexual assault just this summer: Thomas Ravenel of “Southern Charm” was accused of sexual assault by at least two women in June. In response, Bravo announced it would launch an investigation, though no results were ever made public. Ravenel has since threatened to leave the show, though it's unclear if he actually has, and he explicitly stated his decision was unrelated to the allegations, which he denies.Another “Southern Charm” cast member, J.D. Madison, is facing allegations of drugging and raping a South Carolina woman.
