Yesterday on the Internet: U.S. National Parks go rogue on Twitter

This week, news of U.S. federal agencies being directed to lock down their social media led to an uprising of rogue national parks twitter accounts.

This week, the Trump administration reportedly set about instructing government departments to lock down their social media and communications, shortly after the National Park Service Twitter account had retweeted some unwelcome evidence about the size of the inauguration crowd.

The suppression attempt backfired spectacularly, resulting in an uprising of dozens of unofficial rogue Twitter accounts tweeting climate change facts, spurring Twitter users to seemingly care more than ever about climate change.
