VICE News Nominated for Three People’s Lovie Awards

The finalists for the 2015 People’s Lovie Awards are out, and VICE News is on the list. Lend us a hand and vote — we can't win without you.

The finalists for this year's People's Lovie Awards have just been announced, and VICE News is again on the list having been nominated for three separate categories.

We've been shortlisted in the Best Editing category for our documentary The Islamic State, in which filmmaker Medyan Dairieh tells the story of the rise of the militant group from the very heart of its self-proclaimed caliphate. Dairieh's unprecedented access and fearless approach gave the world chilling insight into a group that continues to vex world powers.

VICE News launched in March 2014. Since then, we've been working to dig deep into the world's most important stories, and to go behind the headlines where no one else does.

Our writers, correspondents, editors, and hosts have brought reportage from the front lines of the conflict in eastern Ukraine, the heart of the Islamic State, within the fight against Ebola in West Africa, from the streets of Ferguson, and beyond.
