Alex Jones wants you to know he’s sorry for his outbursts

Welcome to the second installment of our two-part Alex Jones master class. Watch Part 1 here.

For anyone unfamiliar with the far-right radio personality and Infowars founder, Jones has claimed that 9/11 and the Sandy Hook massacre were inside jobs, that Obama wore a secret Muslim ring, and that juice boxes turn children into homosexuals. He also happens to have the ear of the president of the United States of America.

In this series, however, we won’t be examining Jones’ political beliefs. Rather, we’ll look at the gravel-voiced Texan’s other most notable quality: his flair for theatrics. Last week, we watched Jones tap into his inner agony, manifesting in the perfect face-palm. This week we see what happens when the hurt turns to rage.

Jones clearly knows the entertainment value of a good freak-out — in fact many of his videos are proudly titled “rant.” Seeming to anticipate his viewers’ potential annoyance at his rising anger, Jones frequently brings himself to the edge of white-hot rage, only to abruptly talk himself back down. This creates an unpredictable, staccato style that keeps listeners off balance and engaged.

Take a look at the above video compilation of some of the radio personality’s most sudden Jekyll-and-Hyde-style transformations.
