The battle is on for the one true Donald on Reddit.Fans of Donald Glover are flooding r/thedonald, a subreddit page previously devoted to supporting Trump with memes, with posts about the actor, singer, and screenwriter and proclaiming their Donald the “One True Donald.” The page is adjacent to the notorious, extremely problematic and extremely popular, r/the_donald, a hub for Trump’s alt-right supporters, known for its calls to violence and often blatant racism and misogyny.“This sub is for Trump not Glover,” one user wrote on Tuesday on the r/thedonald page. “False,” replied another.The page’s feed is now full of images of Glover looking cool as Lando Calrissian in the new Star Wars movie, appearances on late-night talk shows, community memes, and more.From their perch next door, Glover fans are waging war on r/The_Donald, which has taken note of what’s going on. They’ve sent a few posters over from The_Donald to troll, but it hasn’t made much of a dent in the feed of posts about Donald Glover looking good.The subreddit’s moderator who oversees the page has apparently given up. “Do whatever you want, I don’t care,” reads the description on the page now.
