We may finally hear some of what Trump said on “The Apprentice”

Political operatives and reporters searched in vain for the recordings throughout the 2016 election cycle.

Summer Zervos, one of 19 women who’ve accused Donald Trump of sexual misconduct, wants to know whether Trump ever demeaned women while filming “The Apprentice,” the New York Times reported Wednesday.

Zervos, a former contestant on the NBC show he helmed, sued Trump for defamation last year after he called her a liar for accusing him of kissing her and groping her breast in 2007. As part of that lawsuit, Zervos’ legal team has subpoenaed Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer, which owns the archival footage from “The Apprentice,” for any records from the show that feature Zervos, or Trump discussing Zervos, according to the Times. Zervos also reportedly wants records that show Trump talking about women “in any sexual and inappropriate manner.”

If past reports are true, there may be lot of those.

According to an opposition research book compiled by the Clinton campaign, Trump told one contestant, “It must be a pretty picture, you dropping to your knees,” Vanity Fair reported. A camera person for “The Apprentice” told the Hollywood Reporter that the way Trump treated a female camera operator constituted “borderline sexual misconduct,” while others said he often made sexist comments and focused on female contestants’ looks. And more than 20 people who worked on the show told the Associated Press that Trump would rate female contestants by their breast size and talked about which ones he’d have sex with.

Shortly after the release of the infamous Access Hollywood tape, on which Trump talks about women and “[grabbing] ‘em by the pussy,” former “Apprentice” producer Bill Pruitt also tweeted, “When it comes to the #trumptapes there are far worse.”

But recordings of such conduct have been elusive. Political operatives and reporters searched in vain for them throughout the 2016 election cycle, according to Vanity Fair, and always came up short. The creator of “The Apprentice,” Mike Burnett, has also refused to reveal whether the recordings exist, and insisted that he does not have the legal right to release them even if they did.

MGM Studios didn’t immediately respond to a VICE News request for comment.

Zervos’ lawyers have also reportedly subpoenaed the Beverly Hills Hotel, where Zervos says Trump sexually assaulted her, for records involving any stays that Trump may have made there between 2005 and 2009. The subpoenas also request all records that deal with Zervos, Trump’s assistant, or his former bodyguard Keith Schiller, according to the Times.

The Beverly Hills Hotel confirmed to VICE News that it had received a subpoena, but declined to comment further.
