Marco Rubio Can't Stop Glitching, Continues to Repeat the Same Line Over and Over

For the third time in less than two days, Marco Rubio has proven that he has a really hard time going off script.

At a town hall event in New Hampshire on Monday the junior senator from Florida, who is currently polling in a statistical tie for second place in the state, gave a speech in which he repeated the same rehearsed sentence nearly word for word.

"We are taking our message to families that are struggling to raise their children in the 21st Century, because as you saw, Jeanette and I are raising our four children in the 21st Century," Rubio said. "And we know how hard it is to instill our values in our kids, instead of the values they try to ram down our throats."

Just in case the audience didn't hear him the first time, Rubio then repeated pretty much the exact same sentence once more.

"In the 21st Century it's become harder than ever to instill in your children the values they teach in our homes and in our church, instead of the values they try to ram down our throats in the movies, in music, in popular culture," he said, without missing a beat.

Rubio has been taking a beating over the last two days for doing the same thing during the Republican debate on Saturday, in which he repeated a talking point about Obama knowing "exactly what he's doing" no less than four times. During the debate, New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie, who is gunning for Rubio's spot in the top-tier in New Hampshire, used Rubio's repetition as an example of how Washington, where everything is scripted, defines the young senator. Donald Trump has picked up on that line of attack in New Hampshire appearances since the debate as well.

The performance troubled some of his supporters the next day. "I think [the debate] was the most negative part of his campaign so far," said Mack Hogan at a Rubio Super Bowl event in New Hampshire on Sunday. "It got me a little worried about him."

During an appearance on ABC's This Week on Monday, Rubio defended his original "glitch" by glitching again. When host George Stephanopoulos asked Rubio about his debate performance, Rubio made it clear he stood by what he said.

"Well, actually, I would pay them to keep running that clip because that's what I believe passionately," Rubio said, before repeating himself twice more for good measure.
