In Michigan, the state legislature is considering passing a similar bill that would cut sanctuary cities out of tax sharing plans. Despite the funding threat, the liberal state capital of Lansing is still considering declaring themselves a sanctuary city.VICE News correspondent Evan McMorris-Santoro reports from Lansing, where there is widespread support for a resolution but the severity of that resolution is dividing the liberal capital. Protocols already in place already qualify them as a sanctuary city, but some want it in writing to affirm their commitment.
