Having parents as roommates, drowning in student debt, job hunting full-time; this isn’t the Canadian dream, but it’s the reality for many of us today. Wages are stagnating, jobs can feel as scarce as an affordable apartment, and all the while older generations seem to wonder why we can’t just get ourselves together. In the first episode of Spent, we set out to discover what economical factors failed to set us up for success and how qualified young people are grappling with unemployment.
