Trump finally condemned the hate groups in Charlottesville

President Donald Trump condemned by name the neo-Nazis, KKK members, and white supremacists who rallied as part of Saturday’s “Unite the Right” event in Charlottesville, Virginia, that led to three deaths, including that of 32-year-old Heather Heyer.

Trump’s comments, in an unscheduled statement at the White House Monday, come nearly 48 hours after he attributed the violence to “many sides” rather than denouncing the hate groups that gathered in Virginia. Those comments were widely criticized by Republicans and Democrats alike.
