Weinstein's accusers made a Google Doc full of allegations against him

Harvey Weinstein, the towering Hollywood producer accused of sexually assaulting or harassing dozens of women, isn’t the only one with a powerful network.

Following a report out Monday that Weinstein hired private spies to silence his accusers and journalists, a group of women released a publicly available Google Doc compiling more than 100 allegations of sexual harassment, abuse, and rape against Weinstein since 1980.

“There is strength in numbers,” model Zoë Brock, one of the list’s co-authors, who said a naked Weinstein chased her into a bathroom asking for a massage, told the Guardian. “I just want to empower all survivors of abuse, men and women, to feel that they are not alone, and to feel that together we can shine a light into the darkness where these predators hide.”

While the document does not appear to report any new allegations, it spans nearly 40 years and provides the clearest, most unified picture of Weinstein’s alleged misconduct.

The list highlights 19 alleged rapes, 45 alleged assaults, six incidents involving women 20 or younger, and numerous examples of harassment.

Since the beginning of October, accusations from more than 100 women have spawned police investigations in London and New York and a cascade of allegations against other figures in industries like entertainment, tech, and politics.

The list’s authors join a growing group of women who’ve used online organizing to push back against powerful figures accused of sexual harassment and assault.

Last month, more than 200 women who work in California’s state capitol published a letter alleging rampant sexual assault and founded an online portal to share their stories. Meanwhile, women in the media industry circulated an anonymous Google Doc called “Shitty Media Men,” highlighting cases of alleged inappropriate conduct in newsrooms across the country.
